Dy3+, Eu3+: NaLa(WO4)2 phosphors are successfully synthesized through the solid-state reaction technique. The phase-structure and morphology are measured via X-ray diffraction and energy dispersive spectrometry. The concentrations of Dy3+, Eu3+, La3+, and W6+ are measured via ICP. The absorption and excited spectra are presented, which indicate that a blue band ranging from 430 to 480 nm is suitable for excitation. Using a commercial blue LED with a wavelength of 450 nm as the excitation light source, emission spectra for samples with varying dopant concentration ratios of Dy3+ to Eu3+ are obtained, which show good tunable yellow and red emission. For the purpose of investigating white LED performance, CIE spectra and a white light photo are also presented. The results reveal that varying the dopant concentration ratio of Dy3+ to Eu3+ plays a key role in the warm-white performance. With increasing concentration of Eu3+, the correlated color temperature decreases from 4069 to 3172 K, which indicates good warm-white performance.  相似文献

The luminescence properties of yellow-emitting Ce3+-doped Sr-containing sialon phosphor Sr(Al,Si)5(O,N)7:Ce3+ were notably improved by the Ce raw material selection. By changing the Ce raw material from oxides to nitrides or chlorides, the emission wavelength shifted to above 560 nm, which is beneficial for higher color rendering index white light-emitting diodes. This result from an increase in the covalency of the host crystal being associated with a decrease in the oxygen content. When Ce chloride was used, both the absorption and internal quantum efficiency increased, resulting in an increase in the external quantum efficiency up to 65%–72%. Inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry, X-ray diffraction, and electron spin resonance measurements showed that the reason for the absorption increase is an increase in Ce3+ content and suppression of the generation of the second phase, and the reason for the increase in the internal quantum efficiency is a decrease in the host crystal absorption via suppression of anion vacancy generation. It was found that Ce chloride not only suppresses oxygen impurities but also acts as a flux that results in improved crystallinity.  相似文献

In this work, simple n-type electrode structures were used to enhance the electrical and optical performances of fully packaged commercially mass-produced vertical-geometry light-emitting diodes (VLEDs). The forward bias voltage of the VLED with a Y-pattern electrode increased less rapidly than that of VLEDs with a reference electrode. The VLEDs with the reference and Y-pattern electrodes exhibited forward voltages of 2.93±0.015 and 2.89±0.015 V at 350 mA and 3.77±0.015 and 3.53±0.015 V at 2000 mA, respectively. The VLEDs with the Y-pattern electrode resulted in a higher light output than the VLEDs with the reference electrode with increase in the drive current to 2000 mA. The emission images showed that the VLEDs with the Y-pattern electrode exhibited better current spreading behavior and lower junction temperatures than the VLEDs with the reference electrode. With increase in the current from 350 to 2000 mA, the VLEDs with the Y-pattern electrode experienced a 39.4% reduction in the wall plug efficiency, whereas the VLEDs with the reference electrode suffered from a 43.3% reduction.  相似文献

Multi-projector displays allow the realization of large and immersive projection environments by allowing the tiling of projections from multiple projectors. Such tiled displays require real time geometrical warping of the content that is being projected from each projector. This geometrical warping is a computationally intensive operation and is typically applied using high-end graphics processing units (GPUs) that are able to process a defined number of projector channels. Furthermore, this limits the applicability of such multi-projector display systems only to the content that is being generated using desktop based systems. In this paper we propose a platform independent FPGA based scalable hardware architecture for geometric correction of projected content that allows addition of each projector channel at a fractional increase in logic area. The proposed scheme provides real time correction of HD quality video streams and thus enables the use of this technology for embedded and standalone devices.  相似文献

We used perceptual and oculomotor measures to understand the negative impacts of low (phantom array) and high (motion blur) duty cycles with a high‐speed, AR‐likehead‐mounted display prototype. We observed large intersubject variability for the detection of phantom array artifacts but a highly consistent and systematic effect on saccadic eye movement targeting during low duty cycle presentations. This adverse effect on saccade endpoints was also related to an increased error rate in a perceptual discrimination task, showing a direct effect of display duty cycle on the perceptual quality. For high duty cycles, the probability of detecting motion blur increased during head movements, and this effect was elevated at lower refresh rates. We did not find an impact of the temporal display characteristics on compensatory eye movements during head motion (e.g., VOR). Together, our results allow us to quantify the tradeoff of different negative spatiotemporal impacts of user movements and make subsequent recommendations for optimized temporal HMD parameters.  相似文献

Over the last decade, narrow-band emitters have been recognized as key enablers for light emitting diodes (LEDs) backlights in liquid-crystal displays (LCDs) by competing with other display technologies. Today, efforts have been devoted to the exploration of narrow-band green/red luminescent materials with high quantum efficiency and excellent stability to optimize the performance of LED backlights. This review first presents an overview of the significant progress made in the development of narrow-band emitters used in LED backlights for LCDs with the emphasis on the versatile materials databases from doped phosphors to luminescent II–VI, III-V semiconductor quantum dots, and the recent halide perovskites nanocrystals and bulk metal halides. Subsequently, the correlation of structure-luminescence properties, and the device performance optimization of these emitters have been analyzed. The focus is placed on summarizing and comparing the remarkable examples of outdated and new narrow-band luminescent materials as potential candidates in LED backlights. Finally, the outlooks and challenges in discovering new narrow-band emitters have been proposed.  相似文献
